Suspension

A suspension is a mixture of solid particles that are suspended in a liquid. It’s comparable to a kind of thick sludge. When a suspension is stored for a longer period of time, the solid particles settle by sedimentation. The starting materials are brought together and mixed again only by an external energy supply, such as stirring or shaking.
