Rubbing wear

Rubbing wear is wear that occurs due to friction. The reason for this is the rubbing process or the relative movement between two components. For this reason, the rubbing wear also strongly depends on the coefficient of static friction and the contact pressure. Rubbing wear is the most common cause of failure in industrial processes in which friction occurs between two solid bodies.
