Non-oxide ceramics

Non-oxide ceramics are ceramic materials that are made from compounds of Si or Al with N or C. In order to guarantee the high purity of the ceramics, their raw materials are obtained synthetically. In general, they have a high proportion of covalent bonds, which means that they have very good mechanical properties, even at high temperatures.
