Pourability
The pourability of a material describes the free mobility or the flow behaviour of bulk materials such as granules and powders. It represents an important parameter for conveying and dosing of bulk goods. It depends on many factors, such as grain size, grain distribution, the surface quality of the grains, the water content or the moisture of the bulk material, the addition of separating agents and foreign bodies. Pourability is therefore more an approximation, but still represents an essential parameter for the control of production processes as well as for transportation security and storage.
